My review posted on another thread, but putting it here:

This show was awesome. For the most part it was a typical Soulfly concert (this is my 4th time seing them). However, there were some HUGE guest appearances. First off, Dave Ellafson was there and did the bass tracks for a couple of songs. And then to my suprise Roy Mayorga was there and did drums for a song or two. I love Roy live, he is an amazing freakin' drummer, the best I have ever seen live. And then what really made my jaw drop is that Igor Cavalera was there. As far as I know he and Max haven't performed together since '96. Anyone know if this is true?

So as you can tell, this show was HUGE. I am so happy Roy was there. I couldn't believe it since I assumed he was busy with Stone Sour, but it is because they are in town for Ozzfest.

I certainly don't have any pics or vid.

Lets see what I remember.

First song was Babylon followed by Prophecy followed by Seek & Strike. Dave Ellefson first came out when Prophecy was placed and later came out for Bleed and for a segment where like 8 people were playing drums and bongos. Roy Mayorga got in on that too.

Igor played for Attitude and Roots Bloody Roots.

The crowd didn't get much louder than normal. Since the show was so cheap there were probably quit a few people that weren't really all that knowledgable about Max history.

10th annual d-low fest.

show sold out on the day of the event. around 10pm they played a 10min d-low video of random home footage. the video was well received by the crowd. they were selling shirts with 'dana lives' written on the front and lyrics to 'staystrong' on the back

soulfly comes on at around 10:20 and played for about 1hr 45min. the pit was huge, and nonstop which was great. one of the best pits ive seen in the marquee. aside from the special guests, nothing really unusual or noteworthy about soulflys actual performance. they played all their usual songs and max went through his usual change of wardrobe 4 or 5 times. ritchie did his usual songs with the band (still not impressed) . northside kings frontman did his 1song (bleh).

he special guest were what made this night stand out from any other soulfly performance. as mentioned above dave ellefson came out pretty early, and roy mayorga about midway through the show. the highlight of the night was easily igor cavalera. he came out during the big drum session. after the drum session, max introduces him saying that since dana's passing in 96, him and igor havent played together in 10yrs. igor then takes the drums and does attitude and rootsbloodyroots. that was the highlight of my night, igor killed those songs. i thought we wouldnt be seeing much of igor performing anytime soon since he split from sepultura, but i was happily mistaken.

soulfly goes on to play a few more songs, and ends around midnight. all in all it was the best dollar ive spent in quite some time.
