of course, the soli were great, but as soon as max started to play, i couldn't even hear which song they were playing.

another thing which disappointed me as a soulfly fan was the lack of spirit. my expectation was, that max would say a few sentences before each song, adress the crowd and so on. instead they rattled off one song after another.
fuckin' hell, they sell t-shirts dedicated to d-low and moses, have all this religious/spiritual stuff in their lyrics and they don't lose a word about this- so where's the i n n e r s p i r i t ?
all in all, this wasn't what i expected of my first soulfly gig.
but i'd always go to see them again, this has to be an exception after all...

he sound is the problem of the location of where the gig is held... not soulfly's, coz at my gig the sound was real good!

second: why should max talk to the audience? he's there to fuck shit up... soulfly isn't metallica with a sad story of 15 minutes wich was fucking annoying....!

didn't want to hear a preacher or something like that
but they didn't even greet us.
as i supposedly haven't made clear already, this was not the main problem to me, but it was the sound to 90%. of course, the rest is show. but as soulfly have this high ambition of expressing such a message (just listen to moses, inner spirit, enter faith a.s.o,), i was quite surprised about this.

he stupid new member

Soulfly is playing 60-70 minutes each show and they are playing ca. 20 songs. For exmaple Metallica need 150 minutest to play 20 songs, coz James is talking and talking and talking. Soulfly music is like Fire, they can play 3-5 songs without pause and i love it.

I'll second that.

Get Sepultura's CHAOS DVD and watch the 1992 live gig and you see the difference.
