(KOAMA stands for korean-american-metal-assault, and they are badass. they recently filmed a DvD and we got the chance to be onstage 4 it, their singer/lead guitarist is 14 years old and one big shit at NAMM last year, and shreddddddddds balls. this band is like testament, death angel, with crazyyyyyyyassss Solo's like none i ever heard, def. i expect big things for this band)

(PINGA kick fucking ass. this band is very different, kinda SOADISH but with some heavy parts that are similar to soulfly or even some faster shit like old tallica' or sepul shit. the vocalist takes some time to get used to but they kick fuckkkking ass, they try to play a lot, great people in this band... who care bout their fans)

( 12 TON SLEDGE)one of my fav. local bands, they call their fans the 12 ton wrecking crew... and this band is just flat out fucking heavy metal. influences range from pantera and slayer type shit, they got their shit very tight... and get better every time i see them live, I think they are the best band in AZ or atleast in the top 2 or 3)

(VEHEMENCE was the only band to fucking make it out of AZ as of late, they were signed to metal blade records but still kept it local playing in phoenix a shitload. they have toured with cannibal corpse in europe and many other bigasss bands. They have a very original style. It's brutal death metal with death vocals... with some characteristics of melodic shit but they don't show it... it reminds me a shitload of maybe Amon Amarth meets Vader. sadly they recently broke up after 8 or more years... it's quite sad cuz they were on verge of some reallly big things and metal fame.)

and Nathan started a band called He Who Binds Himself who fucking kickass. Vehemence always played with local bands here a lot which is one thing ill missss a lot.
