true that i really do wonder why they aint goin there, has it ever been mentioned in an interview? when i went down to brazil some people told me that many ppl hate soulfly cuz max left sepultura, but i highly doubt that thats the reason...

im not 100% sure if it's been mentioned in interviews, but i remember ritchie posted on the soulboard about it, and i think i remember max speaking a bit on it in an interview once...

what was said was that people want to kidnap or kill max or some shit cuz they are upset he left sepultura. I don't know if thats how it is down there but i highly doubt it... but i cant doubt it totally cuz i never spoke to the locals down there or anything/. i talked to one guy from brasil on it once and he said, Yeah everyone thinks max is a fucking a sellout fuck... and that he is a bastard. this guy said he grew up with max and shit and that everyone knows he changed so... this guy im talking about is the singer for a band called ANKLA which is members of Puya and this guy basically.

either way, for max to sing and live and talk how he does for and about brasil and not play a show there is rediculous.

regardless or not if people have hate for him, he should go down there. patch some relationships up with certain people from his early days and do a fucking stellar show or tour of the country. the people are fucking owed it. I am going to assume he doesnt feel that way but that is where my opinion differs. thats all.

I mean, he compares himself to bob marley all the time. and this is a bob marley like situation... bob had many fuckers who wanted to kill him and even tried. if your for real and into as much as you say, then do what bob did and play the fucking show. look right at the fucks who want evil done upon you and Live your life with no regrets. well if wat matt said is true and people over there want him dead or kidnap him i get why he hasnt gone there yet, but i do doubt that thats the real reason behind it, but i have no idea. but max has a family and shit, i understand that he doesnt wanna go there if they are after him
