I could remember something why Soulfly does not play in Brasil.
I saw it in an interview or I heard it from someone that they were forbidden to play in Brasil. Because of the violence (during the Sepul days) during the shows.

Max saying that they can't tour in Brazil is bullshit. Nobody wants to kill him, he's no Kennedy, and only some (not all) Sep fans dislike him. It's all about the money, truth is that whatever the scenery is worldwide right now, Sepultura has much more appeal in Brazil than Soulfly does. And there's a reason for that, Sepultura tours in Brazil like every year.

It's definitely weird, Max was born Brazilian but he's totally American right now. I can bet he speaks Portuguese with accent nowadays...

If there was a Soulfly gig reasonably close to my city, and if it wasn't really expensive (hmm say I'd pay up to 40 reais) I'd go. But I don't think it's ever going to happen, unfortunately.
