i'm writing a review of the show for metalinjection.net, so i'll just give you guys the short version here for now. it was the best cavalera show that i've ever attended. I was at the venue for about 12 hours, and every second was a blast. it was quite awesome to regroup with everyone i met during my weekend with soulfly this fall in florida and to see how the year had treated everyone in the band. rizzo, iggor, and max were all in super high spirits and were a blast to talk to.. chow's one of the coolest most down-to-earth fellows i've ever met, too.. gloria, kenny, phil and all the roadies were having a blast were excited to see me (gloria and me were telling stories to each other for at least and hour and a half straight at one point in the night)... and incite kept the party going til 5 am and i finally got to meet my longtime heroes in dillinger escape plan; i think i even convinced dep to convert their buses to run on biodiesel haha. ..like i said everyone was super cool - i could go on for many paragraphs talking about the good times my friends and i had at the myth that night.

he shows were stellar too. cc played for at least and hour and a half (tons of sepultura, 9 songs from infliked, no guest appearances), dillinger was as tight as they've ever been, and incite sounds 100x better with their new lineup too. i didn't care too much for throwdown or byd.

however, the highlight of the night was a big for me. Right before Cavalera Conspiracy launched into their final encore Max looked over my way on the stage and pointed to me and smiled. He looked back out to the crowd of 1,500 and said "I want to dedicate this song to my friend, my web manager Ryan. He does a lot of shit for us and we owe him a lot. This is MUST KILL!" ...or something along those lines.. I fucking lost it. I took my wallet and camera out of my pocket and handed em to Gloria and stage dove into the manic crowd as soon as the first note hit.. it was absolute insanity and the proudest moment of my life.. the culmination of a dream come true.
