the internet has made the entertainment world retarded.. and i hate that about it. artists SHOULD NOT have to come online and talk to their fans to convince them to listen to their music. yes, it's cool to have some fan interaction every once in a while so that we can expect when we might see them again, but otherwise, i think it's completely inappropriate to expect that musicians be constantly wired to the internet. their job is to create music, play music, teach music, etc. it's almost an invasion of privacy in some respects.. but companies like youtube and myspace have made it so that it's almost expected that musicians run their own fucking roots level promotional campaigns... back in the early 90s, you would have never seen as much fan interaction from bands like slayer, sepultura, and pantera as you do from most bands today. i try to get them to post stuff as much as i can (...there were two postings directly from band members last month, so i think your accusation is a little late now, considering soulfly hasn't really made any personal postings on their site in any of the year's before this...), but I can't say I expect them to come on here more than once a month or two, especially when they aren't in the studio or on tour. i don't see why you think differently, or what you want them to tell you. would you like to hear how their burrito was last night, who they talked to, what riffs they played, or how much their farts stink? i don't really give a shit, and you should either. FOCUS on the MUSIC.

When is the New DVD coming out? See i just want updates on like when there going into studio and stuff like that. Maybe when the new DVD coming out. I understand that their resting and stuff but they can come on and tell us some updates. Remember Ryan you said the band mates wanted to be interactive on the website.

I'm not saying to release dates. I'm saying i would like it if some of the band member would check in and say whats up and give any updates if they have some. Don't get me wrong i love the soulfly web page and how well the forum is ran. I would just wanna see more interaction from the band member. thats all.
