Darkest Hour are a metalcore band from Washington. I sudgest that anyone who's a fan of hardcore punk, metalcore or melodic death metal checks them out. I'll upload an album or two later on (Deliver Us; Undoing Ruin) but in the meantime here's a link to their myspace where you can listen to their songs and even download some of 'em I think.

i've always loved this band. they've got a great style to their thrash..when i was in high school, i did a promotional package for a fictional band called tsunami that was based on darkest hour for my publishing class.. that was right after "so sedated, so secure" came out. surprisingly, i like their last album a lot and lisened to it a ton last year; it's so catchy i can't help but love it. i like the cover of dk's "nazi punks fuck off" that was on that kerrang higher voltage album that soulfly was on.

Yeah, that cover is pretty sweet, and their last album is their best work in my opinion. I think that they should've included more clean singing before cuz it really fits in and doesn't sound as gay as most of the new bands make it sound.

i dunno.. i loved the straight-ahead balls to the wall swede-thrash of their first few cds.... they've developed in a great way, but i like the way the older cds hint at the melodies rather than fully embrace the melody (..like on the last cd especially). hidden hands of the sadist nation was their peak in my opinion, but still, i think they're playing fucking awesome music nonetheless.

well, I like the full on assault too but I also think including melody is a good thing. But they're great at whatever they do.

the main thing i loved about darkest hour was kris norris's leads. hopefully the band still can put together an awesome album and show without him.

on another note, I just saw Kris playing with God Forbid on the Lamb of God tour two weeks ago, and even though I'm not a huge God Forbid fan, he definitely seemed like the perfect fit for that band to replace dallas coyle.
