it's a top secret process!

he b.o.t.m. just helps to expose artists who are doing unique things with their music, whether that be experimenting with new sounds, recording in inventive ways, or combining oddly matched styles. the hope in mind is that soulfly fans have pretty eclectic tastes (i mean hey, they listen to everything from reggae to rnb to metal) so the botm can help to expose them to other eclectic stuff that they haven't had the chance to hear before...plus, having that is the last way i can really have any personality in my own site, now...

both actually. i receive about 25-40 emails per month from bands who want to play with soulfly wherever they are or are requesting for max or bobby or marc or joe to listen to their demo. If one of these bands is not up to the standars (for originality and ^good^ music), i just select another band. many times, the bands that write in our pretty lame though, and are more like soulfly ripoffs than anything else, so it can be hard to choose...
