I can't stand the Floyd rose on my Dimebolt. It IS a bitch to change your strings, but I don't find tuning it hard at all. I retired my Dimebolt when I got the camo.

depends on the guitar, my Jackson KE3 Kelly goes out of tune pretty easy, but my LTD MH-50 stays in place when i finally get it in tune

another thing i hate is when the string pops out while i'm playing or trying to tune when i'm putting in the new strings

If you set up your Floyd the right way you don't have trouble at all. I now change all 6 strings in a little under 15 minutes. Best thing is to take one old string off, and put one new one on. If you set the bridge up correctly the last time you shouldn't mess with the string tension.

If all the strings are on the guitar, put all the finetuners in the mid position and don't close the toplocks. Now tune the guitar with the tuning keys and stretch the strings. Play with the guitar a bit and make sure you bend the strings enough. Once you did that, retune with the tuning keys. If the strings are properly played in, close the toplocks and go for the fine-tune. Et voila! Perfect!
