So I saw the thread about meeting joe so I thought I would share my story about being pulled up on stage.

House of Blues, Cleveland Ohio, Feb 24th 2005 with Morbid Angel.
I was up front of course for mostly the whole show. I was wearing my green phoenix shirt if that matters. Morbid angel opened up, sat through that (not a big fan, sorry). Then it was time for soulfly and I was enjoying that very much. Halfway through the show they bring out these barrels, I see Bobby come out with a pair of mallets, showing the crowd so we had an idea that there was going to be some drumming going on. Max is up there on stage talking with a security guard and he points to me and tells me to come up. I thought there was no way he was pointing to me so I was like me? He said yes and made me get up there. So the guards help me over the barricade and I hop up on stage and he hands me a pair of mallets. I said what do you want me to do? His response was ^whatever you want man.^ So, Max, joe, bobby, mark and I all had a drum session on the stage in front of about 400 people I would say. I was on the same drum as max and I looked like a complete fool because I had no idea what I was doing but I'll never forget that night. After it was over he shook my hand and said thanks. I threw up the horns and jumped down off the stage and just enjoyed the rest of the show. Has this happened to anyone else?

i was lucky enough to get on stage on the 26. of june 2005 in lahr germany, ill never ever forget that nite. the show was ok, max seemed tired and exhausted, but i hadnt seen soulfly in a year, so i was quite excited. well same thing happaned. but already during the show max kept on pointing at me and showing me the horns, and smiling at me cuz i was goin fuckin nuts headbanging like crazy and screaming along, plus i had a brazilian flag which i was showing throughout the show which i guess he liked as well. well then max goes off stage and comes back with this hughe drum and i knew this was the moment where he asks a fan to come on stage, so i went insane once again, he was lookin around the crowd and then just looked at me rite into my eyes and nodded at me so i tried to climb that damn security barrier and since i was so excited it was real hard. then i climbed on stage a roadie gave me drumsticks and asked me if i knew wat to do and i jus totally ignored him and went straight up to max. he just said how you doin and i was so excited that i didnt reply to him either, well i tried to get the rythm and tried to the same hting as max was doin and i just ended up hittin his sticks, but it was soooo fuckin awesome.when we were done i picked up a pic which was on the floor that i saw fall during the show . 'then just hugged him even thou i think he just wanted to shake my hand as well hahaha the damn roadie took away my drumsticks while i did that and max just said jump back in, so i picked up my brazilian flag and stage divied back into the crowd. sooo amazing!

damn, I want to meet max...

A guy got pulled up on stage on Friday at the Birmingham gig.

I was right at the front and got some good photos of him and Max... if this guy is out there I can give you the pics, they're good pics.

I met Max in London about 3 years ago, he was a really cool guy, seemed really sincere and just as pleased to meet the fans as it was for us to meet him.
