Hey guy's (and girls) I'm new to Soulfly and I came here looking for information on them, I got one main question though, what religion are they? Because I heard them talkin' about ^God^ but obviously there ae many versions of Him, could you guys fill me in? Religion is very important in my music...

I'm open to other information too, so if you guys could help, I would greatly apprieciate (sp?) it...Initiate me to Soulfly please...

he is spiritual but as gus said does not have his own religion. he has his own beliefs i think.

Alright well thats cool, I don't like organized religion either, I believe in God, and I pray occasionally, but I don't like goin' to church and stuff like that, I think religion should be internal...

I am glad that soulfly for example don't get to into specific issues.
if they did, it'd still be cool and id respect but I wouldn't fucking be into it half as much as i am.

You know what? I think most of you are right. What I get from ^Profecy^ and ^3^ is that they both have very Christian like veiws and that goes for ^Primitive^ as well. ^Profecy^ track 2 is called ^The Living Sacrifice^ It really reminded me of crusifixtion of Christ. When ever I listen to Soulfly it strengthens my faith with God that much more. I made my Pastor at church listen to some of the lyrics and he love it. Said that he never thought that there could be that much love of the lord in Metal music. I beleive Max is a man of God and the shit that that poor man has been through is living proof that he is a man of God. I beleive that the only way to overcome those tragedies is to continue to keep turning it over to God no matter what and I think that Max has done just that.
