Opinions of Omen?

My favorite track of Omen is... a bonus cover: "Refuse/Resist" :D.
I like very very much "Kingdom", "Bloodbath And Beyond". I like all the album. Except maybe "Ryse Of The Fallen".
In my opinion Max voice is stronger than on any other Soulfly album.
As soulfly.ro said, this forum was born dead. I don't know what Roadrunner thought about lounching this format.

Hello folks

I do not at all where to start. First of all I apologize for my English. If so you should see an error, then excuses that please (:
Since I can clearly remember a huge fan from Soulfly.I grew up with Sepultura & Soulfly. But for the last 2 albums I do not remember what happened to the band. Where is the old Soulfly style? Where is the berimbau? Where are the slave drums? I was happy like a child when I learned that Soulfly will bring a new album on the market. I speak now from the album Conquer. I'm run like a madman in the music store to buy the album and I can´t believe my ears that I hardly got to hear there. Were 3 of 11 titles as I have it would. In addition, I found it quite strange at that time where the good old style was left and I thought it's okay if an album can correspond to non-always 100%. But since the Omen is out there I'm really struggling on with me if you hear there is not another band on the CD. Do not get me wrong. I adore this man! But that's not normal that almost all the songs are different at one time on the album. For example, Dark Ages. One of the best albums of Soulfly.
It was thought that one gets to hear a story about Max. A really wonderful and great album. Or the album Prophecy. It sounded dirty, it was hard, it was meaningful, it had a background! It has embodied Max! I find it sad when what Soulfly loses its cult status. I would like to know from you what do you think? Of course I also like songs from the album omen. For example, Kingdom and the good old Soulfly tracks that have rounded on each album, the whole thing. So what do you think about it?

you know, i liked the album, it's brutal, fast and raw, BUT! there's something that i don't like about it, i mean, the album have grat songs, but, i think they repeated the formula, too much! everysong has the same formula, the diferent octaves in the guitar, the same sounds, every song follows the same line, still a good album though, the only thing thath i liked about it was the ''electronic'' sound that marc does on the guitar, awesome!

my ranking:

Primitive
Soulfly
Dark Ages
3
Prophecy
Conquer
Omen

i hope that the new album be more TRIBAL, whit more sounds mixing, more experimental.-

by the way, i'm form CHILE, in case if you don't understan my writing, greetings from the CHILEAN TRIBE!

another thing ( i don't know how to edit my las post so i'm going to make another one ), another critic :D, where is the tribal sound? the classic sound of soulfly? the berimbau? i really missed it in this album, MAX is a great muscisian, but i think he repeated himself in this album, is the same as Conquer, or almost the same, i hope thath the new album bring different sounds, not that repeatitive, and i have to say that my favorite song in this album is bloodbath and beyond, very hardcore and thrash!

once again, excuse my writing, if you see an error please correct me, that way i will learn :).-

I hope with this new album soulfly would get back to their roots, "soulfly" and old sepultura shit, like root bloody fucking root.

I also liked nailbomb, it was a nice project.

Come on Max, you're a talented musician.
