Bought a new amp last week:

It's a Randall Titan head. I also have a Randall 4x12 cabinet but I'll be selling that one:

The Titan will be used in my band. Next purchases: another 19" effects processor, midi pedal, a racktuner, a wireless system and a flightcase for the Titan + 3 rackunits. That way I'll have a cheap and very complete live-setup.

Fucking nice amp man Congrats...

What is the sound of that monster compared to the Framus Dragon?

Well, the Dragon is clearly the better amp. But I wanted something with a heavier sound and that's what the Randall does. Yes, I can really get a massive metalsound from the Dragon, with a booster and outboard EQ, but I wanted to keep my live-rig simple. The Titan is very short on features, which is a shame, but with an FX processor in the loop it'll do just fine. It has a good clean with loads of headroom and a metal-isch leadsound. And for ?225 that sound is fantastic. It doesn't have the same vibe as a good tube-amp, but it'll certainly do the trick. I'll bring it to rehearsal this afternoon, so I'll be able to play on high volume. Can't wait.

So you are keeping the Dragon, right?

Maybe I'll buy a Framus Cobra in the autumn... I love that amp... It sounds

Yes I'll keep the Dragon and I'll be using in combination with a racksetup. That way it'll give me huge versatility and huge sound. Will be expensive (to power and wire everything will cost ?1000+) but I'll take my time to save some cash and do it properly. The rack will be 12 units high with following things in it:
* Wireless (1U)
* Racktuner (1U)
* Pre-gain-fx processor (1U)
* Midi-looper (1U)
* Rackdrawer (3U) with pedals: 2x overdrive, 2x distortion, 1x fuzz, 1x wah (floorboard), and some more stuff ...
* Preamp (1U) to have the possibility to use the rack through DI without having the Dragon present
* Post-gain-fx processor (1U)
* DI/Cabsim (1U)
* Front interface (1U) to connect the rack with the floorboard
* Power conditioner (1U)

It'll be awesome when finished!
