Press recap: The chaos before the storm

Fellow metalheads, THE day has nearly arrived (that's right, in most parts of the world, Soulfly's next album Omen hits the streets in less than a week)! With the band on tour in Europe and the release date of (what seems to be) our most anticipated album so close, the web is abuzz with Soulfly press like never before! In fact, we're having a hard time keeping up with it all; however, this post is an attempt for your resident web-host to try to synthesize the collective thoughts of the internet metal community from the past week into a concise recap. Read below and click the links to read, watch, and listen to the latest about the tribe!

Reviews:
OMEN, Sphere Magazine, (4/5)
-"...fast, hard and brutal fucking metal from one of the most iconic alternative bands of the last decade. Celebrate the return of Soulfly with this immense recording."
OMEN, Hook in Mouth: Extremely Lazy Review, (9/10)
-"Crunchy, slightly thrashy, and melodic at times make Omen very enjoyable for multiple listens, especially for Sepultura fans of old."
OMEN, Release List: First Impressions, (4/5)
-"...sounds like a sure-fire classic [in] the Soulfly catalog!"
OMEN, Pitriff, (8/10)
-"...listening to songs like “Great Depression”, you remember the past rage so vividly. There's no denying that the same guy that wrote songs like “Dictatorshit” or “Dead Embryonic Cells” wrote this song."
"Rise of the Fallen", Gears of Rock: Single Review, (5/5)
-"...balls out brutal! Brazilian metal deity Max Cavalera has dropped another huge atomic hit on the scene."
