Fuck Shit up that was a great nite!!!i know there is already a review for this concert, but it was to n egative it was awesome!!unlike i wanted me and my buddies left really late, around 5 and it was a 2 hour drive. so we got there when the doors were already open. was quite an insane and fucked up drive as well as we were fittin 3 people in a kinda 2 seater car. the concert was around 200 kms from my place but we got there pretty quickly as the dude who was drivin wasnt scared of hittin 210km per hour while i was fuckin squeezed.
as soon as we got there my 2 buddies got some food and some stuff to drink we had a beer before the show, didnt wanna have more so i could be sober for the how, i already got into the line while they went back to the car,i was so nervous i just wanted to get into the club. as soon as we got in zoltan, from ektomorf, passes our way and greets us, as we had seen him only 2 weeks before. it was quite cool that he went up to us and recognized us, we didnt talk to him for very long thou as i wanted to get a spot in the first row. we got into the front while the supporting band was still playin, wasnt much movement so it was hard to get very far. so we looked for the moshpit, found it and got straight to 2nd row. where someone was quite pissed as i got next to him and started swiring his arms around, but i stayed. well the opeining band really sucked, way to much keyboard shit, really didnt like em.i was just enjoyin the sight of the dark ages banner.
my buddy and me were already checkin out were we could cut in and get a spot in first row, which seemed quite hard. there were 2 guys in front of me where i thought we could cut in, but then they started speakin portuguese and i saw they both were brazilian, so my hopes shrank, on the otehr side there was a guy with a big ass sepultura tattoo, so we knew it was gonna be fuckin tough.
as soon as the intro started max already came on stage which was pretty suprising! thats when movement started and i squeezed myself into first row, that brazilian dude freaked and started goin crazy tryin to get me away from him and pushin me back, but i really didnt give a fuck, i was just scremin along ^ON AND ON AND ON; INNNNAAABABYLON!!!!^ it was awesome, babylon sounded pretty heavy live and i really liked the guitars on that song, they played it really well. then during prophecy crowd went insane again,more pressure from behind and i had a good spot rite in front of max, and the brazilian guys kinda accepted me, just freaked again when i tried to get my buddy into first row as well, but well we managed. after seeknstrike i got my brazilian flag out which max liked to see. sound was really good, and they were playin fuckin perfectly, the crowd was singin along really loud.i was pretty happy that bobby was doin the back vocals this time, he didnt do that last time. bobby was havin a lot of eye contact with the fans which i thought was really awesome. max didnt look to happy and a bit exhausted durin the first couple a songs, but then he started enjoyin the show as well. the tracks from dark ages all sounded really awesome, also carved inside, especially bobby opening with the bass, sounds just like on the record. bring it had a really long break down this time, but that was ok as the crowd needed to regain some energy. joes druimmin was awesome too, especially during the end of babylon, i jus love that drum part. rizzo was fuckin owning with the solos and the breakdowns, hardly givin the crowd any time to cheer. still there were a lot of SOULFLY shout outs. MAx saw me goin insane rite in front of him and threw me a pick after about the 5th songs which i managed to catch, even thou there were like 10 hands goin for it as well. every single song owned, and refuse resist started a really big pit and you could see the marc and joe were really enjoyin to play that song, for roots max didnt even need to sing the chorus., then max came out on stage with the berimbau, and there was a lot of fuckin screamin, everyone knew that was the beginning of tribe. i felt like i was teh only one singing along the intro of tribe thou, which sucked, but i guess that why max threw the berimbau stick at me as well but it broke into 3 pieces cuz there was a lot of fighting for it, i got the bottom part thou tribe really ruled, and bobby was tryin to really conncect to the fans during that song.
after some time then the roadies put the tribaldrums on the stage, and by then i already knew i had to realy try to catch max attention again, so i was holdin up my flag again screamin, then max came back on stage, he walked along stage lookin at the fans then he looked into my direction and pointed, i wasnt too sure if he meant me, but as noone else moved i just got the fuck ove the fence. tehh securtiy first tried to stop me but max said it was ok and pulled me on stage, i was so fcukin happy, it even gave max a hughe smile on his face.well he gave me one drum stick and then screamed into the mic smth like soulflytribe and stuff and pointed at me, i just lifted my arms and screamed as well, the we started fuckin shit up, was kinda weird with only one drum stick thou, but still kicked ass, especially the outro which joe leads and we then just hit the drums real hard(i hope u know wat i mean ) then max was drummin and screamin OI! along, i tried to do that too but then lost the rythm and max started laughing. it was quite short, like 1.30 min but still really rocked. then max put away the drum i shook his hand gave him a hug and said thanks a lot, and he just said no man thank you very much dude. i didnt jump back into the crowd this time thou as the security pulled me down. while walkin by the fence everyone was just cheerin at me which was quite awesome.i got straight back into the pit with my drum stick in my hand. ppl would still wanna give me high five and said that was fuckin awesome. max called ritchie out and they played bleed and tree of pain, i had no energy left and could hardly stand so i was just bein thrown around the pit. then they fuckin played I and I for which i really wanted to get back to the front for. max seemed in a way better mood now, and it was so fuckin heavy. i mean that shit is heavy on the cd, but when max screams ^wooo^ it just breaks down into some really heavy fuckin shit, its awesome, i think one of the best soulfly live experiences. but the break down into the slow bit in the middle of the song sounded terrible, was really high pitched, still amazin live song. then they played policia for which i was in the second row for again, wavin my flag, max smiled at me again, the song realy ruled but i dont think many ppl knew it. then they ended the set with eye for an eye, where max dropped his guitar in the middle of the song. really lond outro after max left. and when the lights went back on soulfly 2 or 3 came on which i htought was a really cool. well it was fuckin awesome, gonna see em again in 3 days

it was really awesome!!and bein on stage with max is just the best feelin, and its not really hard either, as long as your in first row, wish you guys luck on that. ill see them again saturday nite, ill be at the venue already at 10am hopin to meet max and get those pics signed!
