From what I can read, bumbklant is the closest...

Here is a topic where the logo was already discussed: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=243

The symbol is simply a logo for the band Soulfly that was designed by tattoo artist Leo Zuleta - it is nothing more than a logo for this band, and it means whatever Max and the band have attributed to it through their music and messages.

(ps. sorry the search isn't working right now; i've got to find a way to re-index it since i converted the forum to phpbb3 yesterday)

If I remember correctly, that logo reperesents the Phoenix, fire bird rising from ashes. I belive Max had some tatoo artist to make the logo for Soulfly and I think he wanted that the logo represents the fire bird rising. I think I read that somewhere, not sure tough.
